Mixed Media - Photograph & Life Drawing Combinations

I am a sketcher and a photographer. I draw from the life model in a studio setting and in situ landscape sketches. My photos are of small abstract pieces of colour and texture found in and around everyday objects and then enlarged.

Trained in drawing on Foundation I developed an eye for close observation and translated this into photography later in life. I also trained in woven textiles at Central St Martins where I developed an eye for colour and texture.

Recently I have been blending the sketches and photographs together using a layering technique.
