September Art Trail
A stroll through Sudbury’s creative side...
Saturday 19 & Sunday 20 September 2026
Art Hubs and Studios open 10:30am – 4:30pm
Discover Sudbury’s Creative Side
This September, Sudbury’s creative community comes to life as artists open the doors to their studios and small groups gather at creative hubs across the town and surrounding area. Together, they form an inviting art trail, giving visitors the chance to wander from one venue to the next, discover new work and meet the artists behind it.
From paintings and prints to textiles, ceramics and traditional crafts, there will be plenty to see and explore. Some artists will also be demonstrating their skills, offering a glimpse into the creative process and the stories behind their work.
A special stop along the trail is Mill Tye Gallery & Arts Centre, where visitors can see Captured Light: Paintings & Chairs from Suffolk by Dan Hussey and Honor Surie — an exhibition celebrating the character, light and landscape of Suffolk through painting and design.
The Art Trail also forms part of Sudbury’s Heritage Open Days, bringing together the town’s artistic and historic character. It’s an opportunity to explore creative spaces while discovering more of Sudbury’s fascinating heritage — including the stories and buildings that make the town so special.
With studios, galleries and hubs opening their doors, there’s no set route to follow. Simply choose your starting point, take a stroll through Sudbury and see where the trail leads you. Whether you’re a regular visitor to local art or simply curious to discover something new, there’s plenty to enjoy along the way.
